I'm choosing between aws and gcp for personal projects(sas, niche, web apps), I have experience in both, I'm more familiar in aws. And was wondering which one to commit to and invest my knowledge and time in? I will be deploying multiple apps to test out different ideas, I'm looking for something that has lower price, easier to use, has more free services and has longer free tier period, have more tutorials, better documentations, community support, etc. Since I will be deploying multiple apps, and these apps would have very low traffics initially, I am hoping for something that is true free tier, say that I run 10 instances of micro virtual machine, database instances, if all the combine traffic is very low then I wouldn't be billed or the bill would be very little. Which one would you recommend? also, as a side note, Even though, I work at google, we don't have employee discount for cloud services or credit, at work, I don't work with Google Cloud, so I have limited knowledge with google cloud, I have more experiences with AWS. I was hoping to invest in learning GCP since I work at google, thinking that it would help me career wise within google, so for these personal projects I was thinking of choosing GCP, but unfortunately I am part of the delayed layoff here at google, so my time is up at google soon, unless I find an internal transfer, which is not likely. Ideally, I just want to choose one of the two and don't have to worry about the hassle of switching provider, investing time in learning about the eco-system, etc. Please let me know your thoughts, appreciate it!! If your apps and personal use need ML/AI models then I would use GCP.

I prefer gcp. If you're looking to learn skills for future job opportunities, more companies use aws

I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.
What about just heroku
I was hoping to learn a cloud service, also I don't feel like dealing with the hassle of switching provider later on.
Ah okay. So this is also for learning purposes. Just for what is worth, I know founders whose startup reached 300M valuation just using heroku. They eventually switches to AWS but you can get very far without it
