I am leaving behind 10 years at DELL and I my expectations is to move to earn close to 2x my current TC. Expected TC ~100K. They offered me ~62K plus 80K in RSUS. This is an Account Manager role for Public Accounts outside US. I plan to challenge my recruiter and explain that I need to be close to 100K. This might work or the proposal is non-negotiable?
You need to list the year 1 TC with: Base salary Sign on bonus (effectively cash) And total number of RSUs Is there a commission plan?
Protocol dictates that you have ONE other offer for them to be convinced to match it. Otherwise you have no leverage.
This means I can challege once and they will come up with the final offer right?
Base pay: 35K Variable: 28K Sign on bonus: 16K 80K in RSUS can be fully vested after 4 years.
Irrespective of what final TC you negotiate at, make sure to negotiate a guarantee of 3-6 months for the variable portion.
