AWS teams
Hey all, just wonder if this is normal and what should I do here. I got interviewed by one team but the hr said the team has no room for me currently and I have been assigned to another team and given an offer. And hr mentioned he doesn't want to keep me waiting and would like me to start career earlier. Not sure if I could share team name, not sure if NDA applies. What do you guys say? Is it normal? HR said to schedule a call with me to discuss on it. Position: sde 1 TC: 120 #aws #amazon
Yeap, this is very normal. Recruiter will try to find another team for you if can’t proceed with the original team for some good reasons. It’s common to even see multiple teams interviewing a candidate at the same time in Amazon. So it depends on whether you like that team now.

Take the job and move internally later. You managed to crack the interview. Don't waste it. Just negotiate and get more RSUs.
Already negotiated to get more TC. So I guess I will take it then.
I got fucked in that exact way. I'd do anything to go back and wait to join the team I had the internship in.
