I currently work at AWS and completely burned out. Looking to move to a company with stability and WLB. How is Walmart Global Tech or Walmart Labs? I also saw posts about layoffs, are the often? Lastly, what the is WFH situation. I want to move to a lower COL state. #wfh #wlb
Can someone also explain what the expectations of PE looks like? E.g. are you able to drive products or is it glorified coder?
I haven't seen a lot of PEs doing coding. It's mostly driving products or engg strategies at an org level.
Thanks Sam's Club!

How bad is the WLB at AWS? I have an upcoming final round
Pretty terrible. I've been at 2 teams with AWS. One infrastructure and another a new AWS service/product. Both teams have been horrible. Managers will indirectly ask you to stay up all through the night so you can deliver a solution. One thing I would encourage you to consider if the money you make at AWS is worth the additional time and cost to relationships. One more thing I've noticed is that other employers generally look down if you work at Amazon.
Thanks for sharing!! Your last point - did you encounter that on your job hunt?
Move to Walmart, Bentonville or Sams Club, Dallas. WLB is overall good, work quality depends on team. Return to office to begin from September but not everyone - just phased return with hybrid work model.
Thanks for your response. So it is expected that employees return back to office?
Not everyone. Office is mainly going to be used for team meetings, or big events.
