As a recent graduate, I am eager to gain knowledge and explore various fields of computer specialization in the early years of my career. This will help me make an informed decision about which specific area I want to focus on throughout my professional life. Currently, I am considering taking cloud courses, and I'm aware that there are two prominent companies in this domain: AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Azure (Microsoft Azure). Each platform has its own advantages and disadvantages. AWS offers lots of resources and a larger number of job opportunities, while Microsoft Azure provides stronger integration with AI/NLP technologies. Suggestions on what should I chose between AWS and Azure certification? Will Azure overtake AWS? Does getting Azure certification help me more comparatively? Should I get AWS certification and it doesn't matter which ever you chose, because it depends on the company you work in? I am creating poll, but if you can please comment on Why, it will help me understand pros and cons!!!! #engineering
AWS if you want to work for startups and other smaller companies (some exceptions, but those won’t care which cloud you know best), Azure if you want to work for large enterprises in the Microsoft ecosystem (the vast majority F500). But it doesn’t matter much, the concepts are mostly interchangeable, though the specifics aren’t typically.
The market is oversaturated with people with all these cloud certifications. As the barrier to entry is just to memorise test dumps. I’d say, if you want big money, It’s better to switch to product companies than to hope that all this cloud hype will get you rich. PS: I have been in the exact same situation you are in.

Go with AWS. like you mentioned, more job opportunities. Also a lot of skills overlap between cloud providers, so you should be able to learn both if you wanted to. In the short term though, AWS certs carry way higher weight
