Why did you not ask for principal position with that experience.
They said this position is only for SR staff. There is NO chance for principal position
Afaik principal generally has to be internal promo. External hire for principal and director requires a number of other people at that level to signoff on it as well. Principal promo requirements are also extremely strict. Only person I know who was hired into principal was a re-hire who was already principal when they left.

Did u accept the Samsung GPU offer? The number is good. I am surprised that Synopsys pays such low.
Samsung has a high likelihood of cancelling that project. Koreans are good at memory but not logic
