What is the hiring bar at Meta for data science/ product analytics roles these days? Do you need to have a yes/ strong yes for all the 4-5 on-site interviews to get an offer OR have people received offers with one or two interviews that didn’t go as well as the others?
Bump, had my DS Product Analytics onsite recently and would like to know too. Thanks to anyone who has insight on this. 🙏
How was the on site? Any suggestions around probability/stats to review?
Stick to the topics in the guide the recruiter provides but more than that work on translating “word problems” (with some business context, not direct application of formulas) into stats/prob problems
Guessing you passed the technical screening already? Did you answer every one of those questions perfectly to go to the next round?
Not OP, but in my case, no. Was a bit surprised I was moved on to onsite. Wagering a guess that it was because the product sense part of the screen was still strong and the SQL was close to correct + showed my thought process
How long did they stick with the product sense stuff? Mine was focused on notifications and as soon as I got past initial considerations and said A/B test but randomize based on networks or similar cities instead of fully random because of friends impacting each other he just jumped straight to SQL. No chance to cover how to establish MDE, collaboration with Product, or rollout decision making. Felt really abrupt. SQL I made a small mistake in the denominator but was correcting it before they gave feedback and was talking through my process the whole time so felt like that was clear. Has me worried I missed something obvious and just failed it immediately.
