I was impacted by layoffs earlier this year. I had three managers over my 10-month time at Google. Received No impact in betterworks after the layoff. Today recruiter reached out and scheduled me for a phone screen with different team than where I was before layoff. Do they don’t consider previous GRAD ratings or review? Will “No impact” on my history hurt my rehiring chances? Do I stand a chance to get rehired? #google
So your last rating was NI?
I’d say if they reached out you stand a chance. TBH I wouldn’t be surprised if they lost all the Betterworks data. 🤷♂️ Give it your best shot and hope you find a better team. Good luck!
How does grad work exactly?
What are the ratings in Google. Can someone explain
You should try your best. The Mgr and HR would have looked at your ratings before approaching you, so now you’re in a level playing field. Ratings are mostly bs anyway
Yes, I’ll give my best! Just curious how hiring committee will look at it?
If you were let go for only not meeting managers expectations then you will be rehired. Only if you violated any company policies and were fired you won't be hired back. I doubt they have looked at prior record
Related question: I was on a support checkin when I got laid off. I believe my rating would also be NI (which I thought meant Needs Improvement). I am not trying to get rehired at Google right now, but how long before I can reapply? How many years back do they look at these ratings? I might want to join Google after 4 years or so.
Wow they call poor performance rating "no impact?" Literally calling you useless, yikes
It’s technically Not Enough Impact, but yeah it might as well be No Impact.
