I don't understand how these companies make profit. There are so many of these duplicates doing the same thing and I see discount vouchers from all of them in my mailbox. They are expensive without those coupons. Just another ubereats, doordash kind of thing but with a much more niche market.
I can assure you blue apron does not make profit
They don’t make money. Over the last decade many tech companies relied on cheap money to subsidize services while having the delusional thoughts that they’d capture entire markets and eventually force higher prices on customers.
Sad for the employees but they need more than 10% cut to reduce cost. They are dying quickly and the company is literally a penny stock company now. What do the employees think about the company at the moment?
I mean that whole business model was targetting very niche audience... bunch of lazy fucks who cant cook simple dishes. May be in future they should ship a robot along with their cut meat and vegetables to cook it for them.
Missing a extra 0? 100%
This is one of the hardest businesses to scale, one of my friends has one that runs locally and he is making ok money, when you factor in tue amount of inefficiencies of scaling this has no fucking way to be profitable at all… Sucks for the people though
News release screams blue apron is running out of cash quickly, atm offerings and more 😬
