Accenture VS. KPMG VS. PepsiCo

Accenture: 160k, 7k sign on, 8-10% bonus, 5 weeks PTO KPMG: Manager, 165K, 10k sign on, did not mention bonus in offer letter, 4 weeks PTO PEP: Senior Manager, 165k, 10k sign on, 15% bonus, 3 weeks PTO Which is the best offer?

Negotiate 4 weeks PTO with PEPSI, take the role and if you don‘t like it leave after a year and join another company, coming from a Sr. Manager position. If you like it you have more bonus than with Accenture and KPMG and same PTO as with KPMG

That’s a sound advice. Also remember work-life balance will be better at Pepsi than any consulting firm if that important to you at your current point in life.

Good suggestion. I would mention to PEP that you would really like to work for them, but better PTO in other offers stops you from proceeding with signing with them.

Choose Accenture or KPMG based on industry you are in. Think long term. Pepsi should be the last option. If you go into food and beverage industry, you will limit your options for the future.

Deloitte XYZDSC OP Jun 28, 2021

Can you elaborate? Why is food and beverages Industry "limited options"? Is there a myth about Industry sectors like specific sectors people should avoid? What about medical device, consumer products, media & entertainment?

Visa ejnb00 Jun 30, 2021

One job in a sector is not going going pigeonhole you. You can transfer to another industry within the same or similar function

Deloitte belleepoch Jun 28, 2021

What functions are they? Are they all strategy? A bit more color would be helpful

Deloitte belleepoch Jun 28, 2021

Also, is sr mgr position at Pepsi equivalent to senior managers in other companies? If so, it sounds like one level higher than the other two offers. If you want to stay in the industry and if sr mgr is actually higher level manager position, it may be worth it.

IBM oddblockv4 Jun 29, 2021

I cannot recommend that anyone enter Accenture or any Big 4 at any level below Senior Manager. Go to Pepsi and get hired by whatever firm consults for you.

Deloitte belleepoch Jun 29, 2021

Not sure why you would say that. Also if you want to join consulting firm as a sr mgr, you really want to have clear objective for next move; become a partner/md or jump to somewhere else.

Oracle F-TA Jun 30, 2021

Can you elaborate on why not?

EY gullyboy91 Jun 30, 2021

Are you on a visa?

Deloitte rqab110 Jun 30, 2021

Stay away from KPMG - if you want to continue to do consulting take Accenture, if not PepsiCo is a good exit

EY oumv12 Jun 30, 2021

What level at Accenture?

Accenture TX1776 Jun 30, 2021

160k will be SM if I’m not mistaken.

Visa ejnb00 Jun 30, 2021

YOE and do you have an MBA?

Are we really just purely crunching these numbers? Pepsi a very different value prop. Accenture more interesting than KPMG and vice versa depending on client focus / group you’re supporting. Seems we’re comparing 3 offers that on paper are as competitive as possible. Qualitative thinking should be used here…

Don't go non-faang or non consulting unless it's a director+ position
