I have competing offers from Tinder and Walmart to work on their respective mobile applications. The roles are similar and the offers are as follows: Tinder: 110 base + 140 RSU over 4 years. Full time direct hire. Walmart: 140 base, contract-to-hire. I’m early in my career and would love insight from any current/former employees. YOE 1.5 Current TC 108
Tinder at least you get some free swipes
Tinder gives you premium for life
who cares lol that barely costs anything and isn't even worth it
tinder is lowballing you
My feeling as well. What would you expect?
i feel like new grads these days are getting avg of 125k base
Tinder gets you swipes and walmart gets you wipes! You are smart, make the right choice here! 😄
I’ll tell the recruiter this.
Yeah, You can ask Walmart to match the tinder swipes 😅
Just think with the preferred head
I’d say neither, tinder is a lowball and wmt is contract to lowball
Why are they both so cheap?
You think the offers are too low considering my 1.5 YOE? Or are they lowballing because they think I will accept it?
Looks like lowballs
Dude, you gotta mention location. Walmart pay changes ton by location.
Remote, so I probably can’t play that card right? Which is a bummer because I do live in HCOL area.
Fine for an IC1 offer, definitely low if it's IC2. Tinder definitely has opportunities for career growth, especially at that level.
Yep IC1, and thanks for the info.

I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.
