Been in ad ops for almost ten years. Been a senior director a year, getting bored, and feeling like I’m hitting a wall. Have y’all hit a wall and what have you done to overcome it besides move on elsewhere or pivot to dev or product?
My career path: Ad Tech > Ad Agency > StartUp > Facebook My ad ops experience has been deep in paid social so working for a social tech company makes sense. I started in paid social in FB then pivot to PMM and am becoming more strategic. Tech companies hire a good amount of ad ops folks with publisher experience. TC: 260

Where are you located? Are you buyside or sell side? Adops definitely has a ceiling and congrats for even making it 10yrs. See if you can transition out of media and into saas as an account manager or tech. AM
Thanks! I’m on the pub side in NYC. TC 110. According to here, I should be making at least 140, likely even more in NYC.
You most likely could be making more. But you could increase even more if you went into sales.. 150k+150k commission
