For design team culture, research culture, future opportunities, wlb, potential layoffs, and overall company vibes what are your thoughts on Addepar vs HubSpot?? Not sure which direction to go and looking for some insight from people who work there! Any help is appreciated. TC: 0 (laid off) Non tech Addepar - ~240 tc HubSpot - ~280tc year 1, 260 after (haven’t gotten final offer yet but need to decide on other offer by next week)
Nice offers, considering the market. Are you more interested in finance or CRM type of work?
Thanks! I used to work in the CDP space so I think crm would be more up my alley experience wise. Personally I think it would be cool to learn about finance but I really like the product areas I’d be working with in crm
Then that seems to be the direction you should likely pursue then. Out of curiosity, what’s the cash comp for both offers?
addepar is pretty good and fun
What role/level is it for?
What’s YOE ?
6ish but not all tech
Go for Hubspot. Addepar is very clique oriented and there is a good chance you won’t be in it since your new. Ask me how I know. There are frequent low key lay offs we orgs. While I was there a team was systematically fired within a few months.
Oh really?? I was thinking I would have a better chance of not getting laid off at Addepar… HubSpot seemed riskier in that regard to me. I got laid off earlier this year so want to avoid it again if possible haha
Thanks for the info!!
Hubspot all of the TC is real money right. There is a good chunk of Addepar TC that seems to be rsu which might not see a liquidity event the way its been going
The liquidity isn’t there. When I sold my shares I didn’t get much above my strike price. The product is ok but isn’t good enough so displace other in house enterprise solutions. Advisors and investor clients struggle to see the value.
HUBS has 500k shares vol traded on a regular basis... Not exactly 0 liquidity. Addepar on the other hand seems like it will never get to ipo with one of the founders themselves setting up a competing business
