Hi Team, Can any fellow adobe people tell how is Adobe Experience Platform team in the Experience Cloud? How is it in terms of learning, growth and WLB? Also, how does the appraisal and stock refreshers looks like here?' The position is in SanJose Office. #Adobe
Its a horrible place to work at.. Pip culture.. bad managers. Switching internally within adobe is also not easy. Use their offer and join elsewhere

AEP is a large org with a toxic work culture in at least 60% of teams while the remaining 40% teams may be ok. So what you experience would depend on your luck. - Aggressive/combative work culture - Aggressive deadlines set by management - Expect to work at least 50-60 hours most weeks. - Early morning or late night calls expected if you work with other timezones. Depends on team. - day to day (standup output), sprint to sprint (biweekly) delivery pressure is very high. No lean periods anytime in the year. Burnout unavoidable. - very high output expectations - if you are unlucky and get some non-technical manager, the output expectations would be insanely higher (unrealistic expectations) as they don't understand the technical difficulty or complexity due to lack of technical experience and pressurize assuming everything is easy. - lot of politics with management groupism, cronyism, favoritism etc - blame games played all the time by management and their cronies to steal credit and shift blame in areas of joint ownership. - too many re-orgs. You can expect at least one or two every year and your product/project/team can change significantly with these re-orgs - stack ranking with annual PIP quotas. 5-10% minimum quota depending on the team. - silent layoffs without PIPs too done in the US Again everything depends on team and luck. Continuous overwork (without appreciation or rewards) would be expected in most of the teams even if all other factors are luckily positive. P.S: Internal switching in Adobe is not easy and the interviews are at least 75% as difficult as external interviews. You cannot switch internally before completing 1 year in a team. If you get negative feedback in a team, you practically cannot switch internally thereafter.
Shitty & toxic. Lots of people jumped ship. You can take up the offer if it is good & then jump teams after a year
Is it easy to switch teams in adobe? Just wanted to understand the process for switching the teams in Adobe.
Team switching is a full interview loop again + you cannot switch until you have been in a team for a year. Switch can only be lateral and no raise. If your manager finds out your plans, you will be shit-talked and at which point the other team will not want you. This is all assuming you do not get a fake PIP before trying to switch. If you do, no team will take you no matter how ridiculous performance claims are.
