Basically Silent layoffs for cost cutting purposes. No PIPs in the US, direct silent layoffs with max 1 month severance. In India, fake PIP is used instead of silent layoffs for legal reasons. Most people don't share online to avoid stigma. Still I would say you should take up the job if the money is good.
Don't know about that Org, but Adobe in general has turned into a toxic PIP factory since 1 year. Tread with caution. You can still take the job if alternatives are not good.
He has Walmart in pipeline too, but the stocks of Adobe per year grant is a big difference (~13 lakhs) in comparison of compensation between the two.
Additionally Adobe is a better brand than Walmart. Between those two offers, Adobe is a clear winner especially as you are getting more stocks here. Just be prepared to slog once you join...
