Went for an interview with Adobe: 1. Recruiter screening 2. 4 technical rounds 3. Lunch interview with the tema After lunch interview the hiring manager took me for the tour around the campus, and in the office made a verbal offer to join the team. Two days later I got email from the moron recruiter: The team enjoyed the time they spent with you, but are not ready to make a decision in the timeframe that you are under with the other offer you’ve received. As a result, the team wishes you well in your new position and we will keep in touch for future openings. WTF...I never mentioned anything about interviewing at another place
Is Adobe still a thing?
Yes. They still dominate in the professional space for photo and video editing software
Now they started move into marketing cloud using aws
Verbal offer just after interview sounds too fast and fishy
Sounds like you got mixed up with a different candidate. It would be funny if this were the case and the wrong person showed up in start day.
It happened twice in Uber that I have witnesssed, our recruiters mixed up the candidates and gave offer to wrong one. Both offers did not rescinded and joined Uber!
I would recommend to follow up with hiring manager and hr
@KalanickT lol hope they worked out
Sounds like a switcheroo. Explain this word for word to the recruiter.
I had the same issue with Google, HM that phone screened stated he would like to bring me onsite and recruiter said otherwise.
Not like Adobe...that said, last time I got a verbal offer, I asked for it in print and the hr person came back a few minutes later and said the printer was having issues. Two days I was given a final phone screen, then the offer came. If you're still interested, I would follow up with the manager directly via phone or email.
