Got an offer from Adobe for Software Engineer 5. Currently ICT3 at Apple. At what level at Adobe are you called a Senior SDE? YOE: 6 ๐ TC: 245K Adobe Offer: Base: 175K Stocks: 250K Bonus: 20K #adobe
L4 is senior, L5 is staff, L5.5 is sr staff and L6 is principal. I think your offer is L4. Btw, prior to Adobe I was with Apple ๐ Also the minimum bonus at Adobe is 15% of base, something about your numbers don't add up. 6 yoe for L5 is not common, unless you are a committer of open src projects.
Correct, L5 or P50 as we call it internally are usually people with more than 10yoe
Adobe levels are all fucked up just like the company There are computer scientist too. I am p4 and it says Software engineer in workday. Which team did you get offer from. Is that tc after stock appreciation? And your base looks less for l5

The bonus percentage should tell you. 15% up to P40, 20% for P50. Your base can be higher if P50
Is this San Jose or somewhere else? Bonus is either 15% or 20%. So 20k would be even less than that. Doesnโt really make sense. Unless they are prorating for less than a full year for the first one.

This is offer for p40. Max for this level is 190k/287k/50k. You need competing offer. This is best without a competing offer. (Always a wiggle room around sign-on) Be careful about the org you are joining. Adobe orgs are like different companies. DMe is good. DX not so much.
Stay away from DX AEP.
Op - you are super lucky. Apple ICT3 is equivalent of Adobe P30 as per levels.fyi. Your Adobe offer is up-leveling you by 2 levels (P40, P50).
