Figma millionaires cancelled?
If adobe really wanted this deal they would have fought this decision. This is an easy way for them to get out of overpaying for figma.
Ding ding ding
Why would they have buyer’s remorse? Figma still easily owns majority of the market share
Damn it's gonna be a rough day over there. Figma still walks away with a $1B deal breakage fee.
Employees still take a bath though , I doubt Figma is worth 20 billion now
^ how naive can you be?
Good to see at least Europe is still trying to protect free markets competition. US regulators have practically surrendered to corporate consolidation.
US is completely asleep on cookie popups too, thank God Europe covered that
Figma employees gonna have to cancel their Lambo orders for now
More layoffs are likely
Layoffs where? Adobe or Figma?
Yes
20 B was an overpriced deal. Figma valuation would be 3-6B max
Yeah its just a design tool that exists alongside a bunch of other viable alternatives and it's really only used by some UX/graphic designers but its not really for the masses. In another 5 years I could totally imagine some competitor rising up and taking their market share. Like 20B would make it as valuable as Zoom which is actually used by many millions of regular people around the world everyday. Its a valuation that would only be justifiable in a bubble or when interest rates were super low.
Questions is more like ; do we need design tools like Figma in 5 years in the same capacity like today? I can see visual and creative design coming back where you actually need an eye for design to succeed, even if it’s AI driven.
Europoors can’t make anything. Can’t even make a railway from one city to another. Gonna blame refugees for that too??
Hoorah, anti trust laws rule!!!!
Figma balls
Europe ruins everything
Or saving everything? Without them you won't have USB-C in iphone in 2023
I don’t need USBC in iPhone. Governments in Europe should not control businesses in the US.
