What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Primarily in its sales department. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-12-06/adobe-cuts-100-jobs-concentrated-in-sales-as-tech-tightens-belt
100 jobs isn't what most would qualify as a layoff. That's simply more of a reduction, or purging of PIP type employees, or simply redundant roles. Not to downplay the cleaning of house, but I wouldn't be bolting for the door either if I was at Adobe.
Adobe Engineering teams are always like developing one feature in one year. Totally rest and vest
Adobe is still milking the PDF cow.
The fact that DocuSign exist make Adobe look bad, Adobe should totally dominate DocuSign, what a lost opportunity
I see them hiring alot (looking at their jobs on LinkedIn)?
We’re still hiring in many departments (business critical only). This was more an elimination of redundant roles.
Is this second or third wave?
You can barely call this a wave. More like a raindrop. Also, it’s the first time they’ve done anything like this.
100/25988 (2021) = .4%? Boo hoo
We’re at like 35k+ now so🙈
28K not 35 according to the article
