Hi all, I am currently doing my internship at adobe and have a few doubts regarding conversion. I am very happy with my team because they are helping me in understanding technical knowledge and pushing me to make decisions and providing me with a high-visibility project. my questions: When is the right time to inform my manager that I am interested in the FT role? When will adobe let the interns know whether they are getting any offers? (is it the end of the internship or will they take time to extend the offer, whatβs the pattern for past years?) I had a 1:1 feedback session with the manager to review my work for the past month, during that meeting my manager said I am performing really well and have no complaints. And did appreciate me for completing some of the tasks before deadlines. I do have some concerns about the hiring freezes that many companies are doing, So I wanted to let them know I am looking for continuing in adobe. I know management said no freeze currently in our recent employee meetings, hoping the same for upcoming quarters. this is my first post in blind, so please let me know if anything needs to be formatted or added. #engineering #intern TC: 58$/hr
Feel free to express your interest in your check-in with your manager. We actually convert a lot of interns. Chances are good. Good luck!
Thanks for the reply, iβll do it in my next check-in then. any idea on the other question about the timeline when they extend the offer details?
If the team has headcount and the team and your mentor is happy then you should have clear hint before your final presentation. I would suggest to enjoy your time at Adobe and complete the task and give a stellar presentation at the end.
They want to convert interns to full time and usually factor them in for hiring for the next year. No guarantees in a recession but keep showing your interest and doing your best.

How does internal transfers work at Adobe? I am interning in Adobe this summer and planning to apply for internal jobs from August. I am worried if my manager come to know if I apply for internal jobs in workday.
Internal transfer is more like you are working full time at Adobe and want to move to a new team.
Okay!! But can I apply to other internal jobs listed out in workday without letting my manager know about this?
Of course but the new manager would prefer intern from his team also might reach out to your manager for your feedback.
When would they reach? Is it before interview or after clearing interview?
Can you apply to other teams internally when you're an intern?
You should let your manager know ASAP. They would have to make a βcaseβ for you and submit to higher up. Interns were notified if they receive an fulltime offer a month or two after internship ends. Source: me (past intern and got converted)
Donβt we get to know about full time conversion before the end of internship?
Not last year. I donβt know about previous years. But from my understanding they would need a headcount finalized by orgs before sending out offer and sometimes there are delays. At the end of the internship I was told that I would hear back on x day, but there were like 2-3 weeks delay.
I have already discussed with my manager , he said he has no information on the head count yet
Same with me. My manager said they will contact their higher up and get back to me. I wonder how good are the chances of them getting back before my internship ends.

If your manger and team is happy with your work, you should start expressing your interest from now on. Tell your manager that you are looking for a FT opportunity, and showcase all the tasks that you have completed well within the timelines. Thump your chest and show them that you are motivated to unleash your full potential. Don't wait for the right time, make it happen!!
