Adobe is a leech and scam people on subscription ! #AdobeisScam

They give monthly plans and when you cancel it they charge early cancellation charges which is 50% of the yearly charge. I opted for monthly subscription for a reason to learn more about a product and if I need to cancel I can cancel it anytime. If I had to pay for whole year then I would have chosen yearly plan with discounts. Now after couple of months I realized I don’t use the product often so I decided to cancel subscription. Now they are asking for 50% cancellation charges which is equivalent of 6 months of charges and on top of that after taking 6 months of cancelation charges they will end my subscription in a month and I won’t have access to all my files. This is a bad practice and should be called out! Please like this post so that others can share their incidents too because this is scamming and a malpractice which needs to stop. You can’t force people to pay you for an year when they no longer want to! Who are PMs of Adobe and why do you scam people ? This is not electricity, hydro or internet connection where you installed wires to my home that you are asking for early cancellation. It is freaking software! If people don’t want to use it let them cancel. PS: customer service is pathetic. They don’t reply on time and is very slow. They tried every tactic and offered extra discount to keep the subscription running. Then they said you need to at least stay 10 months before they can cancel it. After that said we can give 3 months free if I can continue. Dude don’t you understand I don’t wanna use the software anymore why do you want people to pay for your unethical pricing model. Worst pricing model in the tech industry! #unethical #robbery #scam #adobeisscam

Yes!! There is a hack to get out of it. Upgrade to another plan and then cancel it immediately. I plan to never use adobe because of this scam

*cough* piracy *cough*

Wtf? If it’s a monthly subscription you should be able to cancel at any time with no fees. Seems like they’re making it as an annual subscription in monthly instalments, which is super sketchy.

Intuit ucxzddfg Jun 5, 2022

They auto subscribe you to an annual plan. Which is very wrong.

Amazon LCMaster Jun 5, 2022

OP i just checked their plans and it seems pretty clear to me… looks like you need to read better

Mailchimp jesusLies OP Jun 5, 2022

Mine didn’t have that . I use premiere pro

Amazon LCMaster Jun 5, 2022

Yeah I checked and for the free trial it seems a lot more sneaky. Nothing about the plan that auto subscribes after the trial. Pretty shameful.

Amazon LCMaster Jun 5, 2022

What’s even worse is when I signed up for the trial and tried to cancel it the next day, it told me I had to wait until the charge “settled.” Like wtf?

Mailchimp jesusLies OP Jun 5, 2022

Now when I reached out to customer support. The customer support said wait a moment let me pull out your account info and then ghosted

I was in same situation with Lightroom. I gave up on Adobe after shady practice like this, moved to different program

Disney u1234567 Jun 5, 2022

100% a malicious practice. I would have never had expected this from Adobe. Thank you for the heads up.
