I have a PM job offer from Adobe and visa transfer was just approved. I can start in next 2 weeks but currently pregnant and about to go out on maternity leave. I started interviewing earlier as current role not exciting and maybe redundant in event of company reprioritization. Option 1: Stay at current company avail FMLA qualified leave and hope Adobe delays joining date to Q2. Option 2: Join Adobe and immediately go on non FMLA maternity leave until April. Question - In current economic condition, what would you recommend? #h1b #adobe #parenting PS- deliberately not sharing role title and TC details to maintain anonymity. DM me if want to know TC.
Adobe seems safe as of right now but they might close out roles (they’ve been doing that lately) or hire other folks if you delay that long. Maybe let them know you’re expecting?
Congratulations.. any reason to move from Atlassian to Adobe?
Are you a contractor at atlassian ? Why move from atlassian if you are an employee ? What is your current and offered tc?
Trust me on this: Adobe is extremely toxic. Avoid there at all cost.
Congrats. How long does it take to get the verbal offer after finishing on-site interviews?
First of all, congratulations on your new job and for the new addition to the family that you will soon have. Adobe, as to what I have heard are receptive of these life events. Inform them and give them options about you joining later in the next year or joining currently and working for few months before maternity leave. Better to clarify this before you start. Give notice at the current company only once this is sorted out. Having clarity in current market conditions is better.
