Which one should I do for my final internship? Looking for fintech or HFT/Quant full time next year. I know my role at Adobe will be backend for sure and the project sounds very interesting. Idk what I’d be doing at Amazon yet… #internship #adobe #amazon #fintech #quant #hft
Only go Amazon IF you can get get top dollar and at least L6. You won’t get a raise, promotion or anything once you’re at Amazon.
They said internship
Oh, for an internship—go with the company you’d want to actually work for. It’s just an internship.
Culture wise, Adobe is one of the absolute best employers you’ll ever have. Amazon… not so much. Enjoy life, choose Adobe.
Well Amazon is more diverse If he wants to get exposed to bad cultures do it during an internship He will know the value of culture in future if he is exposed to Amazon earlier
Any reason why Amazon > Adobe seeing that you work(ed) at Adobe?
Adobe interns are treated nicely, its all about the project mentioned when you interviewed so the manager has a vested interest in your success
Amazon culture is closer to hft quant, the founder himself worked at a quant shop
Lol
Do Amazon. Learn a lot. Get idea of culture while you are an intern.
When you know about the work at adobe and it’s sounds interesting to you The choice is clear, unless you want to gamble
It has to be Amazon for internship if you get to work on backend.
Amazon. Notice how all Adobe folks are saying Amazon, there is a reason
What’s the reason? Is it a culture/work issue or a resume value issue?
It’s def not the WLB/culture those are great. But for career growth, $$, transferability go Amazon. At least for this stage of your growth

If your team does daily standups, your manager is a micromanager
How’d you get a response from adobe?? Did not realize they’re a real company…
I was pretty surprised when I got a response too. Luckily the team and project sound very interesting.
They’re one of the largest software companies in the world?
