Hi Blind community. I was let go in JUUL’s most recent round of layoffs. I did Government Affairs for the company and loved my job- I found the work super interesting and loved being able to get a broad range of experience in a fast-paced role. I’ve been struggling to find my next role. I’ve chatted with many ex-JUUL employees and have heard that for those in non-technical roles the JUUL brand has really hurt their job prospects. For technical roles, it seems to be fine. I guess I’d just love some general advice on how to best approach the job search. I’ve applied to a ton of jobs (with an internal referral) that I know I am qualified for and haven’t even received a phone screen. I don’t know if that’s because it’s a tough market or because of JUUL. Would love any tips/tricks, especially from those in recruiting.
Doesn’t it upset you that all the flack you got was because of bootleg thc vape pens? It upsets me because mint was my life.
Lol 😆
I bought about 30 packs a few months before they were discontinued.. Gotta ration them out for the rest of my life I guess
It's pretty amazing how everyone is so virtuous these days. One look at LinkedIn and sometimes you have to puke. People posting about how kind, nice, humble, whatever they are... It used to be that other people would say those things about someone, but the plastic fake culture strives to reach ever higher levels of bullshit in its self glorification. I've had some crazy (ie usually liberals) people rant about Juul to me. Those same people are horrible people, but if they can get up on a horse and become judges they do it in a second. That's why liberals are usually the most rotten people, they hate conservatives but at least conservatives are more transparent about who they are and what they believe, meanwhile liberals will be totally fake and plastic and self congratulating in every "kind" act they do. They of course never read the parable of the Pharasee that prays out loud, because they don't read "hate books".

That is really sad to hear and is a form of discrimination. You should be judged by your capabilities, and not the companies you were affiliated with in your job history. Sorry to hear OP. I don’t have any advice to give unfortunately as I’m in tech field, but just wanted to wish you good luck and hopefully things turn around!
Thank you that’s very kind of you to say ! 🥰
