I have an engineering job now but are looking to move to a remote position and found interest in Data Analytics. I'm currently finishing Google's Data Analytics certificate and starting to apply to remote work for when I move in the coming months. Currently, I'm not getting a lot of interviews or responses to job postings now and would like to ask if anyone in this space has some advice. Would it be smart to find a Data Entry job first or is it best to put together multiple projects in a GitHub portfolio and submit that with a resume? All advice is greatly appreciated.
This isn’t directly addressing your question, but data engineering would be a much easier transition with higher/comparable pay.
If you think you will become data analyst by doing any of such certificate courses then it's not true
If the certificate isn't enough, what could I do after the certificate to help my chances?
+1 those certificates are BS
SQL, Python, Tableau, AB testing, ML is the way to go.
