I've applied to numerous Twitch job ads, most of which I have the exact or above the qualifications they are looking for in tech stack, experience, etc. and yet zero calls back. I understand it's pretty popular and there are hundreds of applications for each job posting but c'mon.. zero calls back? I get an Amazon recruiter messaging and emailing me twice a day. Is it perhaps my location? I also have a STEM engineering degree but not CS. YOE: 2 TC: 120k #twitch
I wouldn’t recommend it. I interviewed back in 2014 and they were total dicks. Didn’t sleep the night before due to nerves and was running a bit slow. First interviewer bragged about how he drives his convertible in every morning. Second interview I didn’t finish in time, and the guy says “I gave you extra time and you _still_ couldn’t do it.” During lunch they talked shit about me, saying “Man, who screened this guy?” One of them even told a personal anecdote about how they were planning to trick their friend into going to the butterfly museum on gay night (I’m gay so this was pretty other-ing). I got sent home early after lunch without getting to finish the loop. Completely traumatic experience for young me.
Wow, sounds like a bunch of turbo-Dicks
Wtf lmao? That's nuts, sorry about your experience.

'Hindutva': The Radical Hindu Ideology That Seeks to 'Push Christianity Out of India’
It’s a hot company, and you’re not currently working at a FAANG/tier 1 big name… it’s not your fault, but unless you get an internal referral, or reach out to a recruiter directly you’re probably not going to get much traction.
Makes sense, thx.
Good luck OP, don’t be afraid to cold-email/message recruiters!
