Advise for career change from Pharma Trial programmer

Hi all, I have a PhD in Biology and was in academia and industry as a Biology scientist for 10 years. I managed to learn some SAS and R coding and I have been a Clinical Trial programmer in Pharma for 4 years. My base salary is $125 k it might get bumped to $150 k next year depending on promotions. At the age of 45 with a family and kids going to college in 10 years, my salary is not enough for saving for education or retirement. I need some guidance for changing my career that I can pragmatically build on my existing skills SAS+R+Biology(?). My ideal base salary would be in range of 200K. I am currently based in Austin, which is getting more expensive also.. Yoe: Clinical Trial Analysis 4 yrs. TC: 125 k
