Aeva Technologies is it good to join? Lots of Meta people leaving to go there.

Many of my Meta ex-colleagues are starting to leave for this startup called Aeva Technologies Inc. They are established in Mountain View California and people seem happy I have an upcoming interview. Also, the stock looks like is heading to the moon after this news Aeva chosen by @DaimlerTruck and @torcrobotics to provide cutting-edge 4D LiDAR for series-production autonomous trucks! We're Proud to collaborate with one of the world's top commercial vehicle manufacturers, paving the way for safer autonomous trucking. Blind tax 480K plus stock currently at Google was at Meta last year. #meta #tech #aeva #amazon #apple #openai #uber #airbnb #roblox #doordash #janestreet #netflix #nvidia

Stock went from $18 to $1. Where is the moon

I see that, but they are going up, and if I get in, I get stock at a low price and will make the money like that, too.

Why don't you just buy their stock, why do you need to work there? You can even buy calls if you are so confident.

Did the recruiter feed you this crap of Aeva will go to the moon after this news? I had an offer from them pre SPAC merger and recruiter fed me the crap. The offer was too low so I rejected but put good chunk in their stock since I liked the tech. I still do. I think Aeva will do well in the future but don’t trust the recruiter.

Recruiter’s name was Jordan Belfort

No, this is from Meta colleagues who left Meta to go there, and they invited me. I only spoke to the recruiter today about my upcoming on-site.

NVIDIA MamaSaid Jan 16

If they merged with a spac, why are you calling them a start-up?

I think Aeva has very good FMCW lidar and superior tech in general. But the problem with the lidar space is, that it is very crowded. I think Luminar, Ouster and Innoviz are the biggest players in the West, and there are Hesai and Robosense in China, bigger and ahead in every sense than their Western counterparts. Lastly, that deal with Daimler truck/torc will be in production by 2027. This is hardware stuff, add some delay to that 2027. Luminar has been working for Volvo EX90 for years & that model has been delayed til this year. The lidar company won't make money unless the OEM is shipping those cars. The upside potential for you is great but just know the journey will be very long.
