Does anyone know the percentage of layoffs announced today at Affirm? #layoffs #affirm
More details pls?
It sucks that it happened. It’s less than 50 people. But all given a lot of choice. No access randomly cut. They are all still at Affirm while they choose.
Comparing to others this is not bad at all.. how about eng, any layoff possibilities?
Not sure if it counts as Layoff? But it is cancelling some recruiting and marketing positions and claims will help these people move to other roles internally.
Very humane and empathetic way to do this. Speaks well to Affirm's leadership honestly.
Affirm leadership is really good with Max at charge. They really care for employees.
Uh. Do you guys work here? You might sing a different tune then
Did they freeze all product design roles?
Afrm opex is insanely high and way too much higher than prior year They are burning or diluting 10% of book/market cap per quarter Not a long runway for common shareholders Will probably need a 60% cut

We will get to profitability this June, as promised by our management team.
2%, marketing and talent were only teams impacted - and they’re given an option to apply for a transfer internally or take a 6mo severance (I’ve heard)
yes plus if they can’t find a job internally they will be placed in a job
Fuz that’s not what I heard, I heard it they don’t find an internal job they’re out
