Affirm offer
I received an offer from Affirm for L6 : 320k 160k base, rest RSU. Is this a good offer? current TC 220k, YOE: 15
What is the maturity period for your RSUs? Where are you located ? Overall- I think it’s a decent TC for L6 but base is on the lower end. I would have wanted my base to be in the 200s not at 160
Are you SDE? What is the rsu break down? 250K+150K?
Hey OP, I don’t have an offer from affirm but just finished on-site and my recruiter told me L6 typical range is 170-185k base with total comp around 300k.I think your total comp is good but there is some room to push for higher base. Btw, how long did it take to get an offer after on-site??

I just got a 210k L4 offer with 2 YOE. Keep in mind based on the 90 day trailing stock average and the current stock price, the RSU value is worth about 40% of what the offer states. Maybe try using this to negotiate a signing bonus?

My negotiations were easy. Aced the interviews and was given the top of the range which were significantly higher than what I was looking for anyways, so wasn't too much to negotiate on my end. Wasn't able to get any pull with signing though, think it was due to my YOE.
What is L6 mean ? Is it senior or Staff ? What kind of role is it ?
L6 is senior, L7 is staff
Also, I am expecting a offer too for Staff. Can anyone shed some light on expected TC ? What does staff equals too ? Is it equal to senior manager or manager ?
Senior base is from $150k to $230k, median is $192k. I would push for closer to the median salary.
They couldn't go beyond 175k, with tc around 335k.
Your numbers are true only for Cali, NY, NJ. OP, if they can’t go past 175, it means you live in a LCOL state or they don’t view you as close to staff yet (they need to give themselves space to increase comp without promotion in this case).

Good compared to your current TC but could get more with 15 YOE (something like 450K) in this market
Stayed on previous roles too long. I like to think I'll be staff level L7 or above but this role needs L6.
