Hi, I really need some networking help. I have tried reaching out to people at Google, Apple, Microsoft, AMD, nVidia, Xilinx, LinkedIn and Facebook on LinkedIn. Either messages go unread or they do not want to expand their circle. I have over 14 years at Intel with roles of increasing responsibility. Experienced product manager who was affected with product cancellations and took a separation package. Have been actively looking for over 3 months now (various call screens but nothing firm). Due to resume being restricted to two pages. I can only list Intel and not prior employers otherwise I would appear older and experience may be viewed as not relevant. I am under 50 and finding it very difficult for recruiters/ hiring managers to notice me. I am very driven and disciplined in my work and am relentless in execution. Would folks at Google, Apple, Microsoft, LinkedIn, AMD, nVidia, Xilinx, and Facebook be willing to help with a personal referral? Please PM me, I would appreciate your help with 2017 coming. Looking for pm roles : product marketing or product management roles in a non toxic environment.
Easiest way to be hired as a pm is to start your own company or at minimum an app. PMs at your desired companies at your experience level are ceos of smaller or mis sized companies.
Why would the CEO of a small to mid size company ever take a job as a PM at another company? Seems like 12 steps back
Not at the larger companies that launch features 10x as big as your previous company...
No love for Amazon? :p
After reading all the blind comments about Amazon stack ranking, crying at your desk, etc I am dubious. Not sure which teams in Sunnyvale or Cupertino break the mold and don't have that toxic environment. If you are in a great team PM me.
have him pm you? you're probably one of the many shitty managers that are the reason the company isn't where it should be
on ohhh buuuurrrn!!!!
Honestly, try Oracle. There is less of an age bias here
Google isn't hiring a lot of PMs right now. I'd recommend looking into cloud customer focused roles. it's got the most headcount to fill.
Are you in that group?
