Has this happened to anybody before? Booked in Europe, uploaded my US passport for verification, said I was good to go. Woke up this morning to an overnight email that said: “It looks like this reservation doesn’t follow our Terms of Service, which means that we aren’t able to support it. As a result, we’ve canceled the reservation and refunded payment for it.” Tried to login to my account and it’s locked for security reasons. Called support and they asked if my name is always what it’s been. The hell? I have had the same name since I was born and my airbnb account has been open for years. Now they’re opening a “special report.” Has anybody had this happen before? TC: $300K
Why are you still using airbnb?
You've got your own resort for op to use?
Yes, hotels are wayy better. Airbnb has one too many restrictions and extra costs
Just go to a hotel it's so much better
Why would you upload your passport to AirBNB? It will now be part of the data set taken in the next breach. Good luck dealing with identity theft.
