Going through the reviews on Blind (both from the company review page and Blind threads) over the past couple years, it seems there is some consistency in the majority opinions: 1. If Brian is involved, esp in product design, you are fucked - micromanaging every aspect of the brand and design look 2. Very top down 3. Brilliant people but mgmt seems ineffective because of 1 and 2 4. Dumping projects on teams then midway through just kill the projects 4. Pay is pretty good but could be better? 5. Fully remote which is a good plus for a lot of people Can current and ex AirBnB folks comment your experience? 1. Do people in product engineering and infra engineering have the same experience as the opinions above? Top down, chaotic projects/random/ unclear vision and roadmap execution? 2. How are the pay (base and equity) compared to say Uber, meta, google, apple? 3. Any orgs in particular have bad wlb? #airbnb

The end of Backdoor Roth?!
All sounds pretty accurate. Pay, I would still say is much higher to the work we do and completed to peers. Wfh with local offices is a plus.
Do you have any first hand exp of projects dumping on you/team and then just “bye, project”? Don’t have to be super detailed just wanna some ideas. Also, re the last point - any difference in mgmt competency and autonomy in the two orgs? I will assume your CEO is not as involved in infra stuff
