Airbnb G10/M1 offer
I received a verbal offer from Airbnb (after a few rounds of negotiations). Base: 245k Bonus: 25% RSU: 1M (over 4 years) Sign on: 20k 1st year TC: 580k I’ve tried to negotiate for 1.1M RSU and more sign on but they don’t bulge. Not sure if I want to risk and keep pushing as I think highly of Airbnb. I have a few competing offers but they are less than my TC at Apple. I am an EM1 (ICT4 equivalent) at Apple. Don’t have a promo path and prefer to have more flexible wfh policy. TC: 500k YoE: 10 years (2 as an EM) Location: Seattle #airbnb #offer
Seems like TC-wise bump is really small to consider the move.
Airbnb’s refreshers are very good. 300k for meets expectations I believe. Also, I am bullish on them long term so getting in now might be a gamble worth trying.
Do you mind sharing your thoughts on being bullish on them? I am also interviewing now and have one interview scheduled with them, but so far I felt neutral.
Seems their offer is lower than before. I saw it was common to have 1.2m+ RSU for staff/em. BTW, didn’t expect apple ict4 can have 500+ TC, especially when the stock was down like 20%.

Is this offer location-agnostic? Given Airbnb’s new comp policy you can live anywhere you want and the comp remains the same?

This is a great offer. Offers have gone down a bit due to work from anywhere policy. Airbnb is in great shape right now. Also stock is low. Good time to join.

Isn't G10 a level bump from Apple ICT4? Or are EM levels at Apple different than IC ones? Curious how they didn't downlevel you. Maybe this plays a factor in them not wanting to budge higher?
It is a semi-bump. ICT4 is a very wide band and it overlaps with high L4, all L5 and low L6 in my opinion.
It would have been difficult for op to get G10 Staff offer as ict4 as it's a level bump. But since op is manager, M1 seems reasonable.
Op, do you have other offers to compete ? Or just use your current tc.

what's the Apple TC looks like as an EM/ICT4
My TC is in the post. But it also depends on the org and your tenure at Apple. Apple refreshers are pretty nice.
Do you really want to make a move for 80K 15% salary difference means 50K post tax. I’m not discouraging you but think about it.
