Wondering how much are Airbnb employees expected to make in stock from the IPO? Include year joined, position and level when you joined, and YOE
Consider that their valuation over the past five years has been pretty much flat. This means any one who got in during past five years probably would have made more money had they gone to a place like Facebook, where the stock has quadrupled during that time.
Change in valuation != change in stock price over the same period. (Anyone who works here is now pretty much an expert on 409a valuation methodologies given how long we have been sitting on our equity).
Yes. It depends on whether there has been any further dilution (stock price would decrease relative to valuation) or buy backs (stock price would increase), but I wouldn't expect big relative movement from a late stage start-up.
This depends a lot on the stock price...Which has actually dropped since 2017.

this is a dumb ass question considering valuation is market dependent

We plan on making money that we previously did not have 🤷♂️
400k after taxes if valuation by the time I get to sell, is same as when I joined 3 years back. Currently L7
Hold on and fingers crossed it will double that and more 🙏🏼
A few millions depending on how market valuation goes. (Currently at 1.5m with the lower internal valuation). Expecting ~3m by IPO but I will keep all shares for at least 5-10 years as I expect value to grow significantly over time. Joined 7 years ago, non tech, non US location
