Read a job description that sounded like three jobs to me. Are people over worked?
Depends on the team and role. Generally, engineers are not overworked, and leaves after 6 or 7. Some teams that do have deadlines to meet, they work a lot of hours to meet them, but not all year long though.

Probably 11 or 12. Likely unheard at a monolithic company like ATT ;)
For eng I would ignore the job description, those are very general and you can decide what you want to do in bootcamp
