No layoffs, no over hiring during pandemic, empathetic leadership, good tc/wlb The only downside is the product is becoming so expensive and shit that it is more expensive than hotels these days. But as employees, I feel they are the best.
Significant layoffs happened in 2020. I guess they learned their lesson to be cautious with the headcount going forward.
They couldnât afford to overhire because of the cleaning fees
LinkedIn is also up there, not sure how Microsoft managed to keep their hands off. Itâs still run like the old days.
Thats because they learned from the whole 2020 fiasco. They have already âbeen there done thatâ with the layoffs and over hiring Im sure they would have hired more during the past 2 years too if the growth was there, but obviously it wasnât compared to many other areas of tech
The growth was like never before. Check before posting
I mean they already laid off half their staff in 2020 so I suppose they started all this
So not a good company if expensive than hotel?
Somewhat related. People use airbnb 1. to save money 2. to experience locals. If one of the strengths of a product is completely stripped away, product goes downhill, and affects company negatively
I use it because I would rather stay in a spacious apartment than in a tiny hotel. Iâm willing to pay more for that. Plus I like other things too
Remember when Airbnb had layoffs and disclosed they spend most of their income on ads couple of year ago ? Pepperridge farm remembers
Canât beat Wendyâs
Airbnb had layoffs but not this year
No layoffs at Google as well, right?
Personally idk. Only đŽ will tell
