Been more than two weeks after onsite. The recruiter emailed he will update me on next steps in a week. That was soon after the interview. Should I follow up again? How do I know of it is an offer or rejection?#airbnbinterview
Why do you say so? Wouldn't it be the best time to join now that the market is so low?
Why would it be a good time to join? They are private so the RSUs you get will be valued at whatever their last internal valuation was which I think was done like two years ago. It's worse now IMO because your offer won't reflect the actuality valuation in this current market.
Nope, we use the 409a for offers that changes fairly frequently. It’s given by a 3rd party.
I think you should feel free to follw up, usually it doesn't take more than a week.
A lot of people are working on urgent issues and it’s hard to get feedback or schedule interviews. I have had to decline or ask for a few to be rescheduled.
I don't want to sound desperate by following up. Also the current situation also can cause delays. I'm in a dilemma.
Aren’t they in hiring freeze now
At least not officially, but it's possible it's unofficial
They didn't mention anything about the hiring freeze during my onsite. They appeared very eager to hire.
Recruiters don't decide your faith, so that won't impact offer / rejection. That might give them a bit more leverage for TC... but 2 weeks is a lot of time, don't think they'll read too much into it.
Similar situation- been 1.5 weeks since on-site interview- any idea when the feedback will be provided ?
