Airbnb just announced the remote policy. - Work from anywhere in the US. - Single pay for all the locations in the country. Same pay in Nashville and Bay Area for example - Work from any country for up to 90 days per country in a calendar year. This is to avoid any taxation issues. Pretty wild and amazing. Move to Seattle
Seattle is still a tier 1/2 city in terms of cost, I think something like Philadelphia would be better for the average person if they want to max their net worth. And if you're willing to move to somewhere cheaper, more power to you.
Philly is a good balance of city living with lots to do and eat and affordable for our line of work. You can live very comfortably with a tier 1/2 salary even with rent and the housing market on the rise
Nice. What’s TC like for senior SWE?

Strongest year we’ve had. Look at airline earnings
Single pay is indeed a big surprise
It's awesome! I'm currently remote. Left the bay for affordability. They've ratcheted down (area adj😏) my pay over the last few years. Now I'm 40% lower than my counterparts and topped out my range. ... I'm stalking Airbnb 😂!!!!
OP - can I DM for a referral?
