Got an offer from alibaba 6 in Google with 10+ yoe They asked for my expectation What would be the reasonable expectation?
Why would you want to go to Ali from Google?
Because Ali is fast growing, google is moving much more slowly, also there is no career growth

Chinese is not a must. Although it’s true that majority of the documentation/group chats are in Chinese. Google translator will be your best friend here. It works really good for ch -> en translation. The company is growing super fast, but working on the Bay Area will be a problem since all the action happens in hangzhou (cn) and the time difference sucks. Salaries must be on the range of any big tech company on the Bay Area.
