Is allyhomeloans.com a good mortgage company? I find 30 year rate very attractive. Thanks! #mortgage
I disagree, I refinanced with them and I had rental, foreign, and portfolio income. Also I’ve skipped through a lot of companies in the last few years and lived abroad. They handled it okay, but I think any underwriting team would struggle with my profile. Rate and fees were the best I found.
Their rates are really good but you will lose confidence when you work with your underwriter. They are extremely slow, means dead slow. You won’t get immediate response. In some cases (H1B) they may not accept showing reserves from cypto investment, your RSUs. Have a backup option and then work with them. Try loandepot and quicken Loans if you’d in’s better loans - you can also ask them to match ally rates.
Ally runs mostly better loans, but if you go with better very high chance of selling your loan off to someone else immediately, so you might stick with ally for the banking convenience.
They are just rebadged Better.com loans. If your situation is cookie cutter (W2 income) they are fine, but throw them any curveballs and the experience becomes highly dependent on the competency of the underwriter and processor you are assigned. I would avoid if you have any nonstandard income sources - rental, high stock compensation, inheritance, retirement, etc.
