How non-Google alphabet companies (nest, fiber,X) are doing?
I asked one of Nest Leaders on why Google hardware team didnt integrate Nest in their product line, whata the point of having Glass , Chromeacast, Home products division operating out of google and not nest- He wasnt sure why it is so- maybe thata why their CEO left
That means Google want to build their own platforms than patterning with other companies in the conglomerate. Sounds like Microsoft 2.0 (cross BU)
Purely based on articles I've read, it sounds like Fiber, Nest and X are all shitshows right now.
What's the latest with Rick Osterloh? Is he kicking ass and taking names?
10 yrs from now Google will look like what Microsoft is today and Microsoft will become IBM
Nest doing really really bad - I use their thermostat and it's frankly not intelligent - it's programmable though ;)
Their thermostat is *worse* - I believe - after Google bought it. I'm not kidding. It's glitchy. No new features in 3 years. So much potential lost.
