Am I crazy for not taking TikTok offer?
Given the current situation and a bill actually being passed…should I pass up on my #tiktok offer of 315k TC? 2-2 level. Tech role but not SWE Current TC: 150k. Stable and work less than 40 hrs Update: I’ve decided to wait for the dust to settle and respectfully declined.

Is that TC salary + stock? You may not be able to have any RSUs so count salary only and 1 year contract

For short term this is really good move. But what if ban gets into effect and you are laid off. Now do you think you can find job like you have right now easily than do it.
If you have visa issues, don't come. You might not make it to 2025. If you want to treat it like an exchange year in China, join. It'll probably be worth the learnings.
Ask for a fat 100k signing bonus for risk adjustment. Also I hope you speak Chinese friend
