Am I crazy for wanting to leave Amazon for Tinder?

Currently working at Amazon L4. TC is $215k. Received a mid level offer for Tinder $170k and I’m seriously considering it. Amazon has been ok so far but I’ve had very little time outside work and it’s making me depressed because I do not do hobbies, see friends, do anything fun. I know Tinder is a pay cut but they promise a chill friendly culture with max 40hr work week week and great PTO. The tech doesn’t seem as interesting as Amazon but working at Tinder would allow me to regain my free time and feel human again. Lately I feel like a robot 🤖 Part of me feels like I am throwing away a good career stepping stone in AMZN. I am lucky to work under a pretty good manager at AMZN too, just I feel burnt out from all the work to be done and hellish oncall. It doesn’t help that I have only been at AMZN less than a year so if I leave now I probably won’t get much benefit from it on my resume. Am I crazy to want to leave Amazon for Tinder to improve my QoL? Would I be making a mistake? Should I stick it out at Amazon for a year?

Tinder is certainly chill. There hasn't been anything done for retention all year so I know a handful of people waiting for last year's refreshers to pop in March before jumping ship, not to mention the many that have already left. Not sure who your manager/team would be but there could be a lack of support. Otherwise yes if WLB is that important to you, there are far worse places to jump to.

Don't destroy mental health. Keeping good mental health will bring better gain long term. Picking up the pieces after you break it takes longer. I wouldn't recommend taking the downgrade in comp if there are other options. Can't you only work 40hours. I see many amazon employees mentioning it's possible. Maybe need to transfer to another team. Maybe need to have a solid schedule to do other activities. I understand you may think you'll get piped if you don't over deliver and keep over delivering. But that might not be true. Just work smart and deliver in 40h work weeks. If that's not possible and a routine won't help, then take another role and explore other areas that life has to offer.

If you are not at risk of pip, you should just stay at Amazon and get promoted in a year or two...
