I had two phone screens with Cisco last Tuesday and the hiring manager verbally confirmed I was moving onsite, but I haven't heard anything from HR yet. I emailed my recruiter last Friday, but he also has not responded. Also, I was contacted on LinkedIn by a recruiter for Amazon last week asking for a phone interview, which I gave a few times I was available. Still have not gotten a response since about Wednesday.
Maybe - I had a similar experience with Moody’s. Emailed back and fourth with a recruiter, scheduled a phone interview, then he never called. I tried following up twice (thinking maybe something came up and we could reschedule) but never heard from that guy again. Ghosting is so incredibly unprofessional, hard to believe a recruiter or hiring manager would do it. Hope you hear back soon!
Amazon takes a while atleast 1-2 weeks to setup. Use this time to grind the examples for Leadership principles. If this amazon recruiter ghost you, you can always reach out to other recruiters or go through referral route. Preparation matters most and delay from their end is always good before scheduling.
Location? I just got an offer from cisco.
Yeah Cisco is terrible that way... for me recruiter said team loved and want to put offer and ghosted lol..
just wow
Facebook did this to me when I complained that their interviewer for me had just obviously rolled out of bed and wasn't even asking me real questions.
Short answer: move on, give your best and don't think about results.
Cisco is big and different teams at different speeds but it seems take a long time move thru the whole interview process
It can take weeks to fill a position. They may be interviewing several people and need concurrence and then approvals, budgeting, figuring out timing, etc. After the first thank you, give a company at least 2-3 weeks so they can go through the process. Hiring is tough, and is tougher still when short staffed
From my experience, Amazon takes a while to set the schedule.
The same happened with me and I eventually got in. It depends on the situation. Sometimes the job they were thinking of you for gets filled so then they wait for the next right fit.
