Lol cuz some dudes in IT are getting kickbacks to transition your company backwards on those apps.
It’s this
Is gmail really better than outlook though? I can’t get used to labels on Gmail.
You use Gsuite. You can use filters and labels together. It’s great. Your name+label@twilio.com auto labels emails for you
Zoom email and calendar is way better
Yeah, everyone is quite unpleasantly surprised now during the move to teams.
Slack sucks balls
I would say for what it does, still better than teams. The name slack (searchable log of all conversation) is only feature that it does greatly and that is why we love it. In teams it is pretty hard to scroll without having hiccups and the search is not that great.
Because Teams is so much better. What crack are you smoking? 😂
Outlook UI is the worst. Teams is also quite awful Wtf is it with so many Microsoft products and being just really mediocre or outright bad
Well, they are definitely better than the products your company manufactures and surely better than the ones ours does as well. 😆
Let me narrow it down, as someone else more or less put it, will put out a product with many strong competitors, be awful then get market share because of MS 😜
Who the hell switches backwards?
What's wrong with Outlook? If it is heavy use the web version which is light weight and should work just like Gmail. Teams sucks, we also joke about it. But it is an evolving product which ramped up quickly during COVID. Hopefully it will stabilize. And companies pay almost zero to use it. Bit bucket is also decent, especially if you use other Atlassian products.
I can get behind all of this except Bit bucket. GitHub or Gitlab are acceptable, but Bit bucket and I are not friends. I actually like Teams though. It's not perfect, but it integrates fine with the rest of the MS ecosystem and that has some value above Slack.
Value and value/cost are two completely different metrics.
I would quit a company if they made these moves. I went from Teams to Slack, Outlook to Gmail, and Bitbucket to GitHub. Thank god.
After discussion about teams vs slack. We even had table of pros and cons for the management, but the decision was already done and we had no power to change it. In addition we asked the Nortonlifelock guys if they would prefer slack and they would, but still the management is counting every penny and said no.
I mean, I already said what I would do. I dunno, homie. Bounce or don’t. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
