I have seen lot of folks mention TC as 300k and then tell that 200k of it is stocks that will vest over 4 years. Well then yearly TC is 150k not 300k. My TC mentioned here is YEARLY - I will get 180k minimum in one year stocks included, and based on performance based awards I may get 20-40k extra - but thats variable. I am discounting promotion and all and assuming everything remains status quo. So TC is 180k pre tax. I have 2 years experience. I work in ML field as Software Engineer. I am asking to check if I am undervalued or overvalued. I am american, if that info affects TC. I am interested to know median TC - some highly valued folks may have yearly 400k TC with 2 years experience, but I dont want to count outliers. So for those who think I am on lower side, please mention median TC for person of my YoE. This way I will know how much undervalued I am, if I am undervalued. (level.fyi and paysa and glassdoor scales seem to be little off mark - hence askin here) Thanks!
L3 at google shows 184k TC, and at 2 yoe that's pretty normal. Not necessarily underpaid.
That is a very decent pay.
Nope. Don’t give much merit into self-reported tc here, especially considering how insecure most tech people are 😂
Hahaha. Well I am relying on law of large numbers to build an estimate.
Are you based in Arkansas? If so then you’ll making a big money
Definitely not underpaid, there’s plenty of folks out there with 6-10 years of exp that don’t get paid as much as you.

A trick for happier life: DO NOT compare yourself to others. Only voices you will hear are from people either bragging or complaining, the middle ground is always silent.
Good point. I think this applies to many subjects in life.
Thats why I wanted median not outliers. If I really had to compare then looking at what Zuckerberg or Gates was making at my age I should fall in depression LOL. To know one's worth in industry full with imposter syndrome is hard.
for 2yoe u r more on the overpaid side. gj!
I am not an American, my yoe is 2 months after Bachelors. I have offers of 180k in Seattle and 205k in NYC.
Company? Break down of those offers? And is it yearly?
Yearly yes. Company, Amazon and Bloomberg.
