Ummm I’m making 100 tc as a product manager at Ibm. I’ve built out 3 complete ibm cloud solutions (tile and all) In 12 months. Is my pay a joke? 2 years full stack dev, 1 year product manager/tech solution lead. What should I actually be earning? If ibm wants to keep young talent, why do they pay like shit?
Yes you are, dm for referral
Damn that's crazy low
Damn, entry level program managers at Amazon make more than that.
Do you anyone who could hire me?
Is this HCOL? If so this is … bad
Is this an associate PM role?
Yesssss
I make $130k at McDonald’s as a PM
Can you add OKR to fix all ice cream machines pleases?
If you use our app we have it so the app will at least let you know if the machine is down. Lol
Admins at Meta get paid more (and I think they are underpaid relative to SWE/PM)…
I just graduated highschool and make 130k
Yes, you are getting ripped out. What’s stopping you from switching jobs?
Well a. I like that my job is actually a 9-5. I hear some horror stories at Amazon, even though you guys typically pay the most. I turned down an offer for 200k because I don't think it's worth it for a 70 hour work week. My brother actually going through the hoops and he had to write a paper and do a 5 hour interview. B. I keep seeing 3-10 year experience requirements. So I feel like I can't apply.
A.You sound like you don’t want to come out of your comfort zone. On amazon, in blind you get to see the extremes. There are tons of people that actually love their work as well that you don’t see complaining. But yes, amazon is a tough place vs most other companies. B. That shouldn’t stop you from applying. Give it a shot. It’s a process and you’ll get there.
