It was highly predictable. Year ago Amazon manager tried to convince me to stay if they allow me to work full time remotely. I declined since it's not in a contract, which means they can change their mind any time.

Canada also has offices so I assume so. Only exception I heard in both US and Canada offices are those who are already have their designated office as virtual. This still needs to be validated however

Very few will leave, when push comes to shove, very few people have the backbone to put up a fight. Developers are just tolerated, most of us are yet to realize that.
I think more people will leave over this than you would think. The culture is already shit and this is the nail in the coffin. I think theyโll reverse this.
