First time interviewing at a FANG so no idea what to expect, what the process is, etc. I'm leaving out the specific domain of advisory, but assume an in demand one. So far it's been: - Submit Resume, had recruiter respond in a few hours for 25 min phone screen - 25 min phone screen lasted 45 min and recruiter was excited until she asked for my comp expectation. Told her I could come down ~40% from my current TC since this role is mostly WFH, IC, and certainty of TC vs. private co. stock. Said $500k TC and she responded it's out of band (L7 Bay Area) and would send me to the executive recruiting team but wanted me to also still interview for this role. - Technical Screen scheduled, said it would be 80% "technical" and 20% behavioral. They gave me a list of 5 domains + Amazon leadership principals to be prepared for. My goal is just to get past this technical screen and move onto what's next. Any insight as to what I should expect, how to prepare for it, etc. TC ~800K #amazon #L7

Why would you take such a pay cut?
Already wealthy, just want a fairly chill WFH / regional travel job that doesn't involve managing people or selling anything. This one seems interesting because they're seeking out high level execs to fill it + explicitly was told it has absolutely no sales obligation (which surprised me). Just come in and be a subject matter expert, equivalent to a Principal role @ Big4 from what I can tell. "We want someone who can walk in and tell Dara..." was the line she used to describe seniority and expertise level that would be an ideal fit.
Then this is a good fit
